Northern Title President, Jay Davis, started in the business as a title searcher in 1978 to support himself while attending college. He worked there for several years before the previous owners divested interest in it. By 1985, Jay and his brother, Paul, acquired Northern Title and have owned and operated it ever since. Jay is the anchor at Northern Title. He’s been in the real estate business for 35 years and in the title business for 33. He knows virtually every aspect of the business inside and out. Jay enjoys dealing with customers and clients and especially enjoys closing transactions for people. Jay also has tremendous experience in handling IRS Section 1031 exchanges—the more complicated they are, the more he likes them.
Shortly after graduating from Utah State University with a degree in Accounting, Paul joined Northern Title. Since that time he has been involved in virtually every aspect of Northern Title's business. Paul's present duties are varied, but he spends the majority of his time working in title production. Paul has a great sense of humor and especially likes the customers and employees he has the opportunity to work with. If you have any questions, Paul is available anytime. Just call him on his cell phone and he would be glad to talk to you. Until the year 2000, the company had only one office in Logan. Since that time, it has expanded and now has 11 offices across Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming. A major contribution to Northern Title’s successful growth is the fact that its customers know that their most valued assets are protected, and they recommend Northern Title’s services to friends and family.

Branch Manager / Escrow Officer
I started at Northern Title in 1999. I have five great kids and enjoy spending time with them wherever it is. Currently outside of work my life consists of watching a football game, basketball game, cross country or track meet or musical. I recently became a grandpa and that has been a great thing. I am an avid Aggie fan and sports fan and love to be in the outdoors hiking or fishing. I love my job and enjoy the satisfaction or working with great people everyday. Our staff is second to none and I have the great fortune of working with some of the best agents, lenders and builders in the industry.
I have been in the Title Industry for many years and have a good knowledge of many aspects of what we do here at Northern Title Company. I am currently a Licensed Title Officer for Northern Title Company in Logan Utah. With my current position I have handled many transactions in many different counties in the state of Utah with a large array of complexities all of which have been good learning experiences for me. What we do here is very important, finding and solving issues with title has a large impact on people and their real property. It is important for those involved to understand how all the pieces fit together and how we can best help each other in making Real Estate Transactions run smoothly. My favorite things to do outside of work are being with my granddaughter, camping and spending time with my family.

I was born and raised in Rexburg, Idaho. Yes I am a potato head! It is also the place the wind blows 50 miles per hour on a daily basis! I didn’t realize how annoying that is until I moved away when I was 20 and found out it doesn’t blow like that anywhere else. My husband and I have lived in Utah for 22 years. The last 11 have been here in Cache Valley and we love it! I have 4 children and 3 grandchildren. The grandchildren are so much fun and I love playing with them. Two of them are in Boise, Idaho so I don’t get to see them as much as I would like. I get to spend a lot of time with my grandson that lives here in Logan. I love to tease him and spoil him like crazy! We like to go on short hikes (very short for me), attending sporting events and we can be found at the movies quite regularly (mostly for the popcorn). I love to joke and tease with everyone I meet. I have been working at Northern Title Company for 9 ½ years. I currently work in the funding department. I make out the commission checks, Broker checks and pay all other bills that are related to the closing. I also order payoffs, so I am the one to contact if you need help in that area. Northern Title is a great family owned business and has provided me with a very pleasant work environment over the years. I would love to help make your experience with our title company warm and welcoming also. I look forward to working with you in the future.
Garrett started in the title business in June of 2000 and has been doing it ever since with over 15 years’ experience. Having come from a real estate background he understands the needs and issues that are involved in a real estate transaction, land development and 1031 exchanges and how to solve most any problem. He has won a number of awards for his dedication and work ethic. He loves to water ski, workout and just being in the outdoors in general while spending time with his wife and 5 wonderful children. Garrett loves anything tied to an adrenaline rush. His favorite roller coaster is “The Hulk” at Universal Orlando.

I started with Northern Title in June 2017 after spending the last five years in the banking industry. I was born and raised in Bear Lake (on the Idaho side) and recently moved from Salt Lake to Logan to be closer to home. I love everything about Cache Valley with the exception of the winters. This has been a great career move for me. I love working for a family owned business and feel very fortunate to be a part of this amazing team. I look forward to assisting present and future Cache County residents in their real estate transactions.

Lori has over 15 years in the title/escrow industry starting in the year 2000. She came to work for Northern Title on July 27, 2006. Before working in the title and escrow side she worked for a Mortgage Brokerage as a Loan Processor and Originator. Having a knack for numbers and directions makes platting legal description seem like the most interesting thing in the world to her.
